To bring end-to-end optimal solutions for each infrastructure configuration, DHS Telecom provides DIGITUS®drop cables engineered for specific applications as well as versatile drops, developed to adapt to various installation environments. Our offer of drop cables includes outdoor, indoor or outdoor-indoor optical cable solutions. DIGITUS® optical drop cabling offer is developed to meet all type of network configurations: for duct, façade and overhead lines outside plant or indoor FTTH roll-outs. Built with first-choice fiber and cable sheath materials, DIGITUS® cables are developed as future-proof solutions for ultrafast broadband fiber networks. Depending on the selected model, DIGITUS® cables can be laid by pulling or pushing, ran inside occupied ducts or simply laid alongside baseboards by stapling or gluing.
Expert in telecom infrastructures and above all in aerial configurations, DHS Telecom provides DIGITUS® drop cable families for overhead line deployments, mainly on short and medium spans. Our aerial cable design construction takes into account not only climatic conditions specific to the deployment area, but also topological parameters such as cable deflection, span, terrain slope.
The choice between a drop cable and another must take into consideration various criteria. Some are obvious such as the cable’s diameter and its compatibility with the installation environment. However, to anticipate future network evolutions and select the most suitable material for a specific deployment project, one must consider the number of existing or forthcoming CPs in SDUs or MDUs configurations, as well as the number of subscribers, the correlated probability of expansion or decline. Furthermore, other considerations must be considered such as what is the cable used for, is there fusion splice involved, storage or management, plug-and-play connections etc. No matter the complexity of your deployment projects, DHS Telecom has the solution for you.

DHS box range is engineered not only to fully comply with the latest standards and recommendations adopted by telecom regulatory authorities, but to reach even higher optical performances. Moreover, the mounting and commissioning of these boxes are very intuitive. Thus, intervention times at the subscribers’ premises are considerably reduced.
DHS box range is structured around various product categories:
o Floor distribution boxes: thanks to a scalable fibre management system, this intermediary drop point enables the connection of up to 12 subscribers.
Thanks to an optimised coiling system via an innovative cable path, PMIs enable faster and more reliable low bend radius (G.657) fibre installations. They also allow immediate commissioning. The Floor Distribution Box can be installed both inside a technical duct or apparently mounted nearby a cable rail.
o Building Entry boxes: this box is recommended for buildings with more than 12 dwellings. It can be used either as a centralised point for service providers, as a distribution box (up to 72FO). This box enables the connection between the outdoor drop cabling and the riser cable. It offers multiple cable entries and a suitable number of splice trays enabling the installation of PLC splitters.
o Optical Transition Boxes: a range of optical boxes designed for enabling transitions between outdoor drop cables and indoor subscriber’s cables.
o Fibre Optic Splice Protection Boxes: FTTH networks’ outdoor equipment for fibre optic splice protection. This box is used for the stitching, transport, and termination of a distribution cable. The fibre optic splice protection box is designed with a cable storage area for the management of fibres pending connection.
o Optical Telecommunications Outlet: DHS Telecom has developed its OTO (PTO) to meet the needs of FTTH and FTTO networks. Available in versions from 1 to 4FO, the PTO enables the management of bare or sheathed fibres on two separate sections. This offers an increased mechanical protection to splices and eases handling operations. Made of high-quality plastics (ABS-PC), this box offers an excellent resistance to fire.
